A Short Story about Stories
Mathematicians see the world as numbers. I see the world as Stories.
To me a joke is a funny story. A financial report is a story about finances. Stories make the biggest impact when they engage you on an emotional level. Whether it was when you watched ET go home, or heard that Elvis had finally left the building - stories with emotional ingredients work..and are extremely memorable.
So if you use words creatively, socially or for business purposes....it's best to use stories - stories that are authentic, believeable, understandable and emotional.
The key ingredients are Words and Communication.
Stories communicate. Television adverts and successful marketing campaigns communicate. Films and songs, arts, businesses and people communicate every single day.
Call me a Wordsmith, a Storyteller - words are the vehicle I choose for communication purposes - and I'm good too.

I write and speak in the Business/Corporate Sector, the Social Sector and the Arts Sector. Freelancing [and owning my own company] allows me to do this.
So what do you get when you add the skills of a Marketing Communications Consultant, a Qualified Administrator, a Professional Writer and a Performance Presenter?
You get me - and I'm available for hire!

Creating Impact with Your Communication
Your Business, Project or Idea is only as strong as your ability to communicate with your intended audience – your prospects and customers.
- Deliver your copywriting and public speaking presentations so your audience responds the way you want them to.
- Use concise and emotionally charged words in your written and spoken communications to sell your products and services.
Delivering Benefits to Your Intended Audience
- Don’t ramble and talk only about the features of your business.
- Your intended audience is only really interested in the benefits and opportunities. In other words, what’s in it for them.
- Your task is to create compelling reasons as to why they should buy from you or buy into you.
- You have to be a good sales person and story-seller.
Selling (Your Products and Services), not Telling People (About Them)
Sell what it’s like once your customer has brought your services – try to use the 5 senses when selling to them – let them see, hear, touch, taste and smell the benefits.
- Grab their Attention
- Keep them Interested
- Develop their Desire for your products and services
- Make them commit to taking Action if they want to purchase from you or hire your services
