  • Recipient of a Collide Award 2003 - Birmingham City Council’s cultural award in the arts, to write, produce and perform a Live Multimedia Performance Prose Dram-edy at the Birmingham Hippodrome, June 2003, entitled “Chasing Your Own Tale” – a piece around the issue of self-identity and personal transformation.

 

  • Administrative Consultancy and Workshop Facilitation – “Silent Voices” White City Youth Centre in Hammersmith, London – intergenerational project using the arts as a means of crime reduction 0 2003.

  • VOICE OF THE GRIOT (1999) Project Administrator, Co-ordinator and Facilitator of 10-week writers in prison initiative at HMP Blakenhurst.  Introduced 5 experienced writers to work within closed institutions for the first time.

 

  • Arts Administration/Project Co-ordination for Shomari Productions - Independent Production Company based in Birmingham.  The planning, co-ordination and production of live performances and facilitating seminars and workshops. 

 

  • CRACKED UPAdministration and Facilitation of training project for youth workers around the issue of drug awareness.

 

  • DRUM ‘N’ BASS the Project Co-ordination of a proposed national tour for an interactive theatre piece on HIV and AIDS.

 

  • LIVE ‘N’ LOUD I & II (BLACK MEN TALKING) Administration, Marketing, Promotion and Production of live theatre performances as part of the Birmingham Readers and Writers Festival.  Also involved conducting live and recording interviews on Radio West Midlands.

  • Administered and co-produced Live Arts Events for International Women’s Day with London based independent company The Write Thing – Birmingham Library Theatre.

  • Co-created characters for which went on to perform at theatres nationwide and appear in comedy dramas on BBC Radio 4.
